How to Enhance Your Game Play With a WoW Paladin Guide
World of Warcraft offers different character classes to choose from each with different strengths and weaknesses. But for players that want a balanced character, the Paladin character class is one of the most popular choices. A paladin has great offensive skills as well as good defensive abilities and several useful spells. In order to build your Paladin properly, you will need to consult a WoW paladin guide because a WoW paladin guide gives you the types of Paladins that you can evolve too through the three talent trees available.
Paladins in WoW have increased defense especially when you equip them with plate armor. They can be fitted with swords, maces, axes both one-handed and two-handed as well as polearms. Unlike Hunters, Warriors, and Rogues, Paladins cannot duel wield weapons nor can they use any ranged weapons. In fact, ranged weapon slots are completely absent and replaced with Librams which are basically special relics exclusively for Paladins that increase the statistics of the Paladin’s abilities.
In WoW, Paladins are great companions to have around because of the Aura abilities which can be found in any of the three talent trees. These Auras can buff nearby allies without consuming mana. The great thing about these Auras is that other Paladins nearby may use another Aura ability for added benefits. It is best to focus points on this area if you plan on participating in raids. But even if you go solo, these auras will benefit you as well since you can quickly change from one Aura to the next at will.
Blessings are also skills that should be developed if you join a party or raid as they can give positive buffs to any players that you target. For instance, you can give a tank a blessing that increases his or her attack power or hit points to make him or her more efficient. The blessing that should be casted depends on the class for maximum effectiveness. Hands also give a similar effect.
Seals are just like blessings, but they affect you only which is obviously best if you are soloing or if you serve as the tank of the group. Some seals can benefit the Paladin in unique ways like the Seal of Light which gives a chance to heal the Paladin after a successful strike.
These three main abilities are scattered across the three talent trees – Holy, Protection, and Retribution. Holy skills focus more on healing and some protection abilities. Protection is more focused on defense with some offensive benefits as well. It is a good choice for Paladins carrying one-handed weapons.
If you have a two-handed weapon and want to have a few offensive spells at your disposal, build the Retribution talent tree. The highest ability of this tree also has a healing effect as well so you don’t have to worry about healing abilities as you’ll have them in any talent tree you focus on.
